MEMBERSHIP

Membership is about more than attending church meetings. Members commit to joining a spiritual family that provides encouragement and support. They are called to a higher degree of responsibility. Village Church relies on members to support its ministry and to carry out much of the work required to help accomplish our mission to have as many people as possible meet Jesus. It’s a high calling that takes hard work—but it’s also the most rewarding work.

The leadership of Village Church strives to love and care for its members well. If you’re desiring to make a deeper commitment to Village Church, we encourage you to become a member. Follow the steps listed here to get the process started.

1. Connect
Faithfully attend and participate on Sundays
Join a Community Group
Join a Serve Team

2. Believe
Village Church members are required to be professing Christians who believe and have faith in Jesus as G

od and Savior.

3. Learn
Being a member of Village Church means that you affirm our Statement of Basic Belief and support the Mission & Values of the church. We believe it’s important to know these things so that you can make an informed decision about membership.

You can also read through our expanded Statement of Biblical Doctrine and if you'd like, listen to the 12-part "Doctrine" series to learn more about doctrine and the “Doctrine of the Church” series to learn more about what a church is.

4. Commit
Village Church members share in their commitment to the church by agreeing to our member covenant and joyfully living in community, serving the church, and giving faithfully.

Review the Member Covenant.

5. Converse
As the final step in membership, you’ll meet with a pastor for a final membership interview. This interview is not a test or an overly formal meeting that you should be scared or intimidated about. Rather, it is an opportunity for you to discuss your partnership in this ministry, ask any questions you have, and receive any necessary spiritual direction or care.
